This is Berlin. At night. From Space.

Berlin at night

Amazing photo of Berlin by night from the European Space Agency photostream on flickr. ESA astronaut André Kuipers took it from the International Space Station (ISS). Check out the original resolution to see all the detail.

But what struck me most: After 23 years, the city is still visibly divided between West and East: by the different colours of the streetlights. In the former western part more greenish and in the eastern parts more orangy.  I’d never noticed this while walking on the streets.
